(This was a program that combined the issuance of a F.A.A.- A&P (aircraft mechanic) license along with the core classes of Business Management. Upon completion the student received both a F.A.A. issued mechanics license, and a B.S. in "Aircraft Maintenance Management"). I acquired the mechanics license and completed roughly 3 semesters in the Management program. In 1984 I was hired by McDonnell Douglas and did not finish the B.S. Business Management program. Carpenter

Duties: Built new homes from the foundation up, using conventional stick framing techniques. Worked in 4 to 6 man crews normally. Was second man in charge, usually having 1 to 2 carpenters working alongside with me, under my supervision. Worked with crane operator as the "Ground Man",hooking up material to be lifted (when needed). Used saws, nail guns, tape measure, "speed square", and levels. Normally was the "cut man", cutting dimensional lumber to the lead carpenters specifications.

Satellite & cable T.V. Installation Technician:

Dates 1-91 to 1-93 and 7-02 to 7-04

Various locations & companies

Duties: At the beginning, job entailed connecting cable T.V. at the telephone poll, or under ground terminal, for new customers. This encompassed connection of household TV’s, V.C.R.’s, Stereos, etc. in the customers home. Later work was the rebuilding of existing cable systems. This work was all outdoor. It involved "swapping" of existing house lines from the old line to the new line. Most work was on telephone polls, working from ladders, bucket trucks, and climbing gear. Last was the installation of "Home Satellite Systems". This was the same as first part, but involved the installation of a satellite dish for a signal source, unlike the poll. This required much more inside work with today’s high-end systems and ability to communicate with the customer.
